Q:

I am currently taking Metformin and Giplizide for this issue. First A1C was 14.6%, last test was 6.8%. Was told by my physician that the 6.8 is still out of control. Research from AMD shows that person without diabetes tests at 6.6%. My pharmacy has asked me to question my physician about the two medications. Also see that UNC is starting a clinical trial to see if this is the best method or what else can be done. Do you have any suggestions?
