How can I keep my blood sugar stable during exercise? I'm 40, male, 150 lbs., 5' 10" and in good shape. I have IBS and struggle greatly with what I can eat. Also diagnosed as pre-diabetic, which explains a lot of my fatigue struggles when exercising. My blood sugar drops low when I lift weights. To help, I eat a bit before exercising and make sure my blood sugar is at least 100. Then I drink Gatorade between sets of lifting. This works most of the time, but not lately. Fatigued. Advice?
