My daughter is an insulin resistant type 1 diabetic. She absolutely has to have her wisdom teeth pulled and has been told that nobody will do it if her A1C isn't 8 or lower. She has NEVER been able to get it that low. She's close, 8.9, which is better than 10, where she was last year. What can we do? Her doctor has already added Metformin and that has helped, but not enough. Does she really have to have the level as low as 8?
