Are the expiration dates on the bottles of test strips really accurate? I have multiple bottles of ultra blue test strips set to expire this month. I know that pharmacies use a one year date as a rule of thumb on all prescriptions. My glucose is completely under control with carb counting and exercise. The strips have never been exposed to moisture or extreme heat or cold and I can't see just tossing them if they aren't really at risk for giving an inaccurate reading.
