What is the difference in a meter and a meter with a usb cable port? Why would you need this?
Most meters now enable you to have the capability to download/upload your results to your computer and some meters which do not (only difference). If you are the tech savvy type then having a meter with the ability to download is probably the way to go. Usually if you want to be able to use this feature the software and the cable are normally purchased seperately from the manafacturer (cost can vary). There is a meter now on the market called the Contour USB which already has the software installed and you can just plug it directly into your modem computer USB port. Using meters that have the capability to download enables you to track your test results through graphs and to be able to print them out to take to your doctor. (Depending on the software ,meter and what you have the capability of doing)! As always it good to consult your doctor as to what would be best suited for you! Hope this helps!
