I am type 2 and have found that I get readings that are about 134 in the mornings. I am usually awake at 3-3:30 so testing can be done. Should I eat/drink something (if so, what?) before bed or at 3:00 when I test in order to maintain levels through the night?

From your question, it sounds as if you are concerned that your fasting blood glucose level is too low. If it is around 130 mg/dL, it is not too low. For people with diabetes, a fasting blood glucose level between 70 and 130 mg/dL is not too high and not too low.
