Last fall, I was referred to a local endocrinologist for treatment of my type 2 diabetes. I am so frustrated and yes, angry. She talks very fast, scribbles crypic notes on paper and rushes through things. I have asked her repeatedly to slow down, to make her instructions more explicit and she throws up her hands in the air and tells me, "If you're not going to do what I say, then don't come to me for help." I'm trying to find another doctor in my area.
I’m sorry you are having a difficult time. I have always known endocrinologists to be the most charming and intelligent physicians. Perhaps I am biased. As with any relationship, sometimes a doctor and patient are just not a good match. You can try speaking with her and explaining that, although you do appreciate her help, sometimes you have a hard time keeping up with her and would appreciate it if she could slow down.
