I care for my father who has type 2 diabetes. He takes amaryl twice a day and Januvia once a day. My brother measured his blood sugar reading before dinner and it was 72. It has never been that low before. He asked my dad if he felt dizzy or weak but my dad said no. After dinner, it read 128. I did not give my father the amaryl after dinner. I'm concerned about the low reading. He had a very early lunch (about 1:30 pm) and a late dinner (8:30pm). Could this have contributed to the low reading?
