When you have prediabetes, can that cause any kidney damage? Also, Type 2, when your numbers are low, near normal, can diabetes still cause problems with the kidney? I noticed in my files that I have a diagnosis of renal insufficiency, so naturally I am concerned. Also, I want to thank Joslin Diabetes Center. They went out of their way to make my father comfortable, while my mother was dying at the Deaconess Hospital. A room with a bed was provided so he could rest.
