Is MIO water enhancer a good product for a diabetic?

Amy Campbell

This liquid flavoring made from sucralose, a type of non-nutritive sweetener, is really neither good nor bad. It contains no calories, carbohydrate or caffeine, so it should have no effect on blood glucose levels. However, it does contain preservatives and artificial coloring. If using water-flavoring agents helps you to drink more water, than that’s a good thing. You can also get the same hydration benefits (and save money at the same time) by drinking flavored seltzer water or regular water with a squeeze of lemon or lime or a splash of fruit juice.
