Do you love the TV show So You Think You Can Dance? We do too! What those dancers do is really amazing, but did you know that a Dance Out Diabetes study presented at the 2013 American Diabetes Association Scientific Sessions showed that a dance exercise program can be an effective way for people with diabetes to lower blood sugar and lose weight? It’s true!

Often when we hear the word “exercise” we automatically turn the other way. But famed dancer, choreographer, and actress Debbie Allen is encouraging you to pause before you make that turn and consider dancing as a fun form of exercise!

There’s now an exciting new dance exercise program called the T2 Dance Crew that’s sending real So You Think You Can Dance alumni dancers out to community centers across the country to teach and inspire people with type 2 diabetes to use dance as a great way to help manage diabetes. Isn’t that cool?
