If you enjoy intense workouts, or play a tough sport, you do not have to give this up now that you have diabetes! 

You will find that people with diabetes continue to perform amazing athletic feats.  These include Olympic swimmers and cross-country skiers, NBA basketball players, NFL football players, mountain climbers, and world-class race car drivers, to name a few. 

You’ll need to devote some special attention to your training routine and your body’s reactions to various drills, foods, environmental factors and the stress of competition. It’s a process of trial and error to learn how to best manage your own BG levels for your sport.
