  • Spikes!!

    My spikes are coming at weird times. I might have a super jump or a rapid drop. I mean from 80 to 315, or 265 to 43. In working with my Endo Dr. we are really trying to get this in a controlled situation.

  • Vegetarin eating

    Hi, I recently have not been able to control my diabetes. I was dignosised in 1996 and taking metformin. For about the last 5 months or so my sugar levels have been going to a high 300's and then drop to about 190's. My doctor upped my dosage to 2 pills in the morning 2 pills in the evening...

  • 1200 calories a day?!?!

    Was diagnosed this past week with type 2......have about 100 pounds to lose.......my Dr. says to not exceed 150g of carbs a day, which is fine, but then told me to not exceed 1200 calories a day. Isn't 1400-1500 more realistic? especially if i'm exercising?

  • sleeping problems

    are there anybody else out there that is having problems with sleeping? it does'nt seem to matter my sugar levels i have tried everything accept meds for which I'm trying not to use but it's starting to effect my everyday living,I'm getting drained,am opened to any suggestions. thanks

  • morning blood sugars

    I have the most trouble keeping my sugars down in the morning. It usually is in the 200's. I take 120 units of lantus for this and it still is high. I take byetta and gluburide in the day and most of the time it is under control. It is that dang fasting blood sugar. It is really frustrating....

  • grief and your own well being

    grief and sadness can really get you down,i lost 4 family members within 4 yrs one including my mom and now my own illness and it seems like you just can't enjoy life anymore this is just starting to lift and this sight has really helped

    Prior to eating breakfast, my glocuse level is between 04/104. Within one hour of eating, I find myself perspiring profusely. My doctor offers not advise or seems concern. Does anyone know what causes this.

    Latley I have been noticing alot of lotions and soaps and toothpastes that supposidly good choices for diabetics. And, it made me wonder: i am spending all my money for nothing? are "regular" products just as good? Would love to hear what others think about this.
