Type 1 with job discrimination
I was diagnosed with T1D just slightly 1 month before my 22nd birthday. Because no one around me is diabetic, I don't know what to do. I feel so embarrass when I have to check my DG in the naked eyes of the public, and I'm even facing job discrimination at work. I've had companies rejecting me...

Diabetes Type Discrimination Amongst Diabetics Themselves
I often overhear blasts from Type 1 and Type 2 diabetics. On one blog I read "We didn't choose to get this disease" from one T1 diabetic. I agree. But why the rude blast to a Type 2 diabetic asking a simple question about caring for her diabetes? I've also heard comments like "Type 1 diabetes is...

This is the big question in the news right now, because Sonia Sotomayor, a frontrunner for President Obama’s first Supreme Court appointment pick, has type 1 diabetes. Experts are wondering if she should be disqualified as a candidate because she has a medical condition that could shorten her...
