Hi everyone, I am so glad i found this site. I have had diabetes for about a11/2 now and i also have OCD. Which make no meter that i get right. I think in the last ten months i have bought a0 meters. Keep in mind now i can no buy the test strips because they are tooooo high. I am lean toward the USB contjour because my insurance willl pay for these strips. What do you'll think. I am floating in the wild here.

I found out that sometimes the copay for test strips or lancets is higher than the cash amount. Check it out.

I got a card from the pharmacy at Costco for discount on Freestyle test strips and lancets. But my insurance will not cover it. Not sure if the card will still work or what the cost is.

I have an Ultra Touch (I think it is) and the pharmacist told me it is cheaper to pay cash for them. So I need to check it out as I got a freestyle meter for free.

If your insurance will cover the usb strips then id use that meter! Its a wonderful meter and that would be my choice! My insurance only covers certain meters and strips so unfortunately I am forced to go with only what they cover! I do have a contour Usb and would just love to make it my meter but sadly the strips are NOT covered by medicare so I'm stuck with my cheap little meter! It does work and its covered so that's what I use. But if I had a choice id definatly use the Countor USB!

The USB contour is a well respected machine, and if ins. co. will pay for the strips, what's the problem?
