I'm sorry Gabby I didn't mean for anyone to go off their diet.

Oh, no. Not at all. I got the lindt bar I was telling you about. My husband does get the peanut m&m's, but I can stay out of them pretty easily now a days. Thank goodness. I have not even opened mine yet, saving it for a special craving.

Is your lindt bar in the gourmet section?

I buy it at Publix, Wal-Mart is on my poo-poo list. It is there in the candy aisle with all the not so good for us stuff. I had to look hard for it. It is on the top shelf with all the higher priced choclolates. I think the bar is $2.50 or so, but it will last me over a week, so I don't mind so much.

I had to go see the names on the bars I have.
It is Low Carb Specialities, Inc. You can get Dark or Milk, either one from them.

Hey Misery,

I would avoid the sugar free chocolate. What you can get for a very few carbs is Lindt 85% cocoa bar. It is a bitter sweet chocolate, but it is safer than the sugar free ones. They can do weird things to your digestion.

Can you get it at Wal-Mart?

I don't eat chocolate, but the lindt dark chocolate is the best. SF candys do have something in it that is laxitive forming. And really some may have to aquire the taste for dark chocolate but a small piece should be enough, savor the flavor, I know my Mother gets it at Walgreens.

I get it at my grocer. They didn't have any last time I was there, bummer...It is an aquired taste. Not sweet, but very chocolaty. A serving is 4 squares, but I find one square to be enough.

I have gotten some at Walmart…you should be able to find it in the gormet candy part of the isle.

I know Walmarts have it . Its in the candy section in the grocery side. Its not around the cashiers where the candy bars are.

Some other good sugar-free dark chocolates are made by Russell Stover and by Hershey's. But, yes, sugar-free items do seem to have a laxative effect if you eat too much of it. I am a Hershey's fan myself…
