Would it be helpful if we provided a survey tool for members? Members could submit questions to the community and then the result would show what everyone thinks about an issue. Let me hear your thoughts.

Definitely! Especially if one of us has a hypothesis and is looking for anecdotal evidence to either confirm or refute that hypothesis.

Ideally, I'd love to find a way to post hypotheses about D, gather information, and if there is enough anecdotal support for a hypothesis (define "enough"?), that information could be "shopped somewhere" to support a proposal for a more scientific investigation.

Surveys would be a good idea. To start have "members" come up with a few basic questions or subjects that could help start the ball rolling.

Surveys are only as good as the input but I think it would be a great idea and maybe even a good tool for identifying common misconceptions and address them.

I am aware of many common misconceptions and some are even being perpetuated by "authority" sources that are misleading the general public. As diabetics, we are faced with so much misleading and contradictory information when we are trying to find the best answers for dealing with our condition.

Part of the misinformation is intentional and usually propagated for profit motives. Some of the misinformation is simply because treating diabetes (particularly type 2 diabetes) is still in its infancy.
