One of my DC friends asked me to show my Josilin medal today. I'm sure i did show it here in late 2008 since I received the medal in August that year. I received it after being type 1 for 63 years.

The links below show my Joslin medal. It represents living 50 years with type 1 diabetes. Medals are given for 50 and 75 years. I have now lived more than 65 years with type 1. In the year 2020 I hope to receive the 75 year medal.

We are so proud of you Richard. Now, can you beat out the 87 year record? I am thinking you can....are you counting.

Lol Gabby! It is not a contest, I am proud of William Rounds and his 87 year record. Each year he lives he is setting a new record. He has been type 1 for 22 years longer than me. I would have to live 23 years after he is gone to break the record. That would make me live until I am well into my 90s, or even more. All of a sudden I am feeling very tired.

Thanks to KD, the links above do work now, they show both sides of the medal.

How are you doing it? All you should need to do is copy the link where the picture is posted and then paste it in the reply box, nothing else. You don't need any of the URL or IMG tags that it looks like you are using. EDIT: You were selecting the wrong link from the website, you need the one that says "direct link to image" since this forum just needs a straight link rather than a link with extra tags in order for it to display.

I think this is the correct URL you need.
