If you love solving puzzles you should look at managing your diabetes as a challenge.

Diabetes care and management is actually a puzzle.
It is comprised of many pieces that need to all need to be sorted out, and put together so that you can see the entire, big picture.

The more pieces involved, the longer it may take to put it all together but in the end it's worth it.

Lay all the pieces on the table when discussing diabetes with your doctor, the pieces are your lifestyle, other health issues and history, and medications.
Your active participation in your diabetes management is perhaps the biggest piece to the puzzle.

Leaving out any pieces will result in a puzzle that is incomplete.
You will not see how beautiful the final picture (life) will be unless you place all of the pieces in their proper place.

This article reminds me of diabetes being part of a the long journey of life. There are so many ups and downs, twists and turns, with so many things that are laid out like a puzzle. The puzzle is not complete without all the little trinkets involved like, diet, choices, testing of bg #'s, stress factors, weight control, medications and the list goes on and on. It is a everyday journey with no time off for good behaviour. If we are consistently sorting and working on laying out the trinkets of this disease, we find we experience better health and who wouldn't want this? This puzzle, although complicated, is so worth it. We have so much to live for..
