It is best to use your glucometer to test how the berries affect your BG#s. Start out before you eat a suggested portion of the berries by testing your current readings, getting a baseline reading. Eat the suggested portion of berries (only berries do not mix with other foods or drinks), and test your BG#s after 2 hrs. (some test @ 1 hr and then again at 2 hrs). If your number is 50 pts above baseline, then you might want to either reduce the portion (doing the test again) or avoid the berries altogether. The proceedure is the same with any food or drink.

All fruit is sugar, but the best to eat is a half cup of berries. Any kind, just told this by my 1st diabetic class. Just watch the carbs with the diabetes, carbs turn to sugar, but we must have fuel in our tanks.

You are so welcome. I bought a blender recently and I am trying to drink water, but I thought with summer coming up, I might like to try making some smoothies. Since I can only have about 5 grapes. I was also told in my class, not to eat in front of the tv, because we get carried away, involved and could have went through a entire bag of grapes in no time. So, my thought was, maybe I could make a tiny snack plate to eat if everyone was watching a movie- so I wouldn't seem rude to eat in another room, if I had guests.
