In the past couple of days I have been listening to each and everyone on this discussion about lowering my sugars even more..I started three days ago.The first day was the scarriest day because I got the extreme shakes and sweats.I then knew that i was on my way to recovery. Day two i woke up and had a blood sugar of 170 and i knew it was still high so i took my medicine right away and ate a very low sugar count breakfast like always and watched it level out at 145.YAY me for day two i thought and it went down to 140 for the day..Today is day three and i have been at a 144 most of the day.I have a doctors appointment tommorow (tuesday march 1st) to see if i can work on it some more..WISH ME LUCK Thank you all that are out there helping me and others you are a blessing ! much love!

thats so great I know it is very hard for you I think it is for all of us .
Just keep at it and never give up.
By the way I work on the carbs not the sugars so much better to keep track of
Best wishes

So, how did it go at the Doctor's office? I hope that you were able to share with him some of your victory. It is always exciting to see them when you are learning new things and doing well. Keep it up, it all takes time.

well it went okay.I have some test coming up for my liver again..but that is normal for me. the one thing that i was so excited about is the urine samples that went through were in the normal. When I started changing my eating habbits five years ago for some reason the pottasium was always high in it..well yesterday showed that i have finally leveled out. Its more exersize and change of life.Like in my profile says i am on my way to being a chef and i am learning to cook for diabetics especially. I have a test for the pains in my legs and feet on next wednesday and went for a full blood panel this morning. things are going okay. My doc from the health department also checked on my hip and said it will take a while for the fracture to heal so tocontinue to walk daily and get it done.So all in all some of the things that i had fears about i finally got answers too..I don't have to have my blood sugars checked in the ER unless i tell them that there is something wrong..for them not to check what i was there for is bad.So as i was told dont be afraid to stand up and speak up!!

Be patient. When you are used to high numbers, lower feels funny. I remember the first time I thought I was going "low" I was at 98. Boy did I feel silly, but my body was used to 200's so that was a big difference.

So when does your restaurant for diabetics open up? LOL
It is great to hear that you are focusing on that and I hope that it will be able to be a part of your livelihood.
