Today I was dreading the doctors office. I was fully expecting to get lectured on what I need to do, instead he told me my A1C was a 6.2!. Of course I asked him to repeat that as it was my first reading under a 7.0. he then went on to tell me that I have lost another 10 lbs! I know it sounds like I am gloating but I cant help it I am so happy right now I don't know what to do lol.

Congratulations!!! My hope is for you to continue on that path. I have similar worries as I see a new MD and don't know what to expect. I was just Dx end of March and last MD I never saw only the ARNP. Not had any tests since the hospital and a bit frightened by it all. Sure am glad to hear happy news and hope I can post similar news in a couple weeks. YOU are NOT gloating…YOU should be proud and happy!!

Bob, that is wonderful! It takes so much work and dedication to get those good results!

Last week I was surprised with wonderful lab results (3 pages worth) and everything is great, and my A1C was down to 6.5. Plus in 3 mo. I had lost 13 pounds.

I know how encouraged you are! Great job!
Hugs, Pat

Congrats. You've been working pretty hard it sounds like. I get my AC done in 2 weeks. My last one was 8. Hoping it will be down to maybe 6? I've been working real hard too.

Thank you very much everyone! now comes the hard part taking my son to his first day of school. lol

Well took the son to school. Wasn't quite what I had hoped for, he took one look in his classroom and walked away not even saying goodbye (insert inner grumbling here). I am actually glad he had a blast and was bugging us all night wanting to go back. So today he gets to try the bus for the first time I hope it goes as smoothly.

We love to hear good news and success stories. Bringing hope to others and realizing that diabetes can be managed well is a message everyone needs to hear. As Harlen said, "Keep up the good work."
