Hi Amy,

I am so sorry to hear this news. Receiving a medical diagnosis can be a very scary thng. To receive a diagnosis and start treatment, and then be told that you are being evaluated for a new diagnosis is a lot of uncertainty to handle. I hope that you can keep in mind that you won't know until you know. Your doctor is gathering information at this point.

This is good time to get lots of support from friends and family. And I know that your faith in God will be a great help as you face this time of uncertainty.

I will be watching for your posts. Please stay in touch with your friends on Diabetic Connect.

Take care!

hi amyspeer! So sorry to hear all the bad news. Fibromyalgia alone can be very painful and tiring. Stay focused on your needs for today! Keep doing what you have been doing, or be very aware of what you have to do now. It may be hard to not think about MS but try for now until you have all the tests done. I will be thinking of you and hoping all is well. stay in touch okay! Hope it ends up better than you think!

I'm so sorry to hear the news, Amy. But now you can be treated for both if needed. I know you are probably totally overwhelmed, but please believe that God won't give you more than you can handle & will be with you all the way. I have seen from my own experience with pancreatic cancer plus other things. You will be in my thoughts & prayers. Take Care. Elaine

Hi Amy,
Don't be discouraged, stay positive to keep your spirits up. There are a lot of information about Fibromalgia so learn what you can. Find a support groups & learn about the new medications that might help. Do you get on Facebook? If so search for different groups on F B. dealing with you health issues.
I was Dx. with Fibro 27 years and many things help like stretching, not sitting for too long (stiffness) plus pacing your self & asking for help when you need it.

You must have a group of Doctors you believe in. They must know how to help you. Keep trying for relief. Don't give up.

Hi Amy,
I'm new to the group and a fairly new diabetic. I have had fibromyalgia since I was 26 (24 years) and was diagnosed with RA 3 years ago. I can't remember life without pain and some days I get really discouraged. I have a lot of great doctors though and I have to remind myself that it can always be worse. I often ask why do I have so many things wrong when I have a sibling with nothing wrong. I guess that's just genetics. I'll keep you in my prayers for acceptance of whatever may come. Hang in there!

I was diagnosed with fibro about 10 years ago. I also have arthritis (OA) in a couple of joints, diabetes, PCOS, and a few other issues. Just educate yourself on the illnesses and go from there. It does take time to find what works and what doesn't. Many have had success with Lyrica for the fibro, me, I did not.

You know you are in our prayers dear friend. May God Bless you and keep you.
It sounds as if the Dr. is unsure yet so we will also pray that it is not MS. Hopefully it is something much easier to deal with.
Your Friend,

let me pray for you.

You know how Amy feels…
scared, wanting the best and hoping against the worst
Give her strength and a peace that does not see possible
I ask for good results from this testing
Healing to her body to be made new and whole
Jesus You are a god of miracles
Give Amy her miracle
let her feel your love and that of those here
Hold her hand as we reach out to do the same
Give her courage to keep her eyes on you
and like Peter rise above the trouble…walking on water

Let us know how your are!

I wish you the best possible treatment options for what the doctor already knows what you have, and hopefully will find out through further testing what you may also have.
May God Bless You and help you in your time of need.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Amy. I too have fibro and have been living with it for 17 years. If you exercise and eat right the pain is much less. I know how bad the pain is for you…keep your chin up. You will find that during the colder months or extremely hot months the pain can be much worse. I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi Amy, I will definitely keep you in my prayers!! And here I was asking my family and friends to keep ME in their prayers gee I think you need them more!! I just got OUT of the hospital with severe pancreatitus. Still have to go for more tests myself. Spent my B-day in the hosp. and for the first time in 52 years it did not snow on my B-day and I never got my baked stuffed lobster for dinner but 45+ needles later I was on my way home & still smiling!! I can't imagine being in your shoes!! Keep your head up and all my prayers and good wishes will be deverted your way!!! :) Ellen

sweet Ellen, there are always enough prayers to go around for eveyone, never think because others need prayers that you shouldn't ask for them :). We all need prayers no matter what the problem or predicament ♥

Hi Amy, I will add you to my prayer list. I was also shocked when my doctor first suspected MS. I don't know anyone else in my family that has it. There is a lot of testing to go through, as they rule out other causes for your symptoms. Have you had an MRI yet? I hope you find answers quickly, and it is something they can take care of easily. Send me a note if you want to talk about it. Hugs.
