So I think I may start a weekly or monthly kinda little thing where I post about something I've found superbly useful, whether it's a book, a gadget, app, website or method that helps me with my diabetes.

Up this time…FISH OIL! We're all supposed to take it as a great miracle supplement right? Yep…who who here hates FISH OIL BURPS? ::JUMPS ON DESK RAISES HAND AND SCREAMS MEEEEEEEEE!::

I can't stand those…and the enteric coated don't do much but *delay* them. I've tried freezing the pills too…yick…But I know the omega 3s are amazing for you and I really should get it down…so what's a diabetic to do?

Well I was sick a few weeks back and I headed to GNC to pick up some of the Pearls acidophilus and the chewable tablets as well. I happened to see some samples of Fish Oil Fruit Chews. Took one of the sugar free ones and it was fine! Have 1-3 a day and you've got your daily amount right there, no bad taste!

**Please be advised I don't work for GNC :P**

I go off and on Fish Oil just for that reason…did just buy a jar , because they were on sale..so guess I'm on them again…trying to talk my husband into taking them again… But may try the chews fron GNC…how's the taste…really not too bad?
But I love this idea…of hearing about products, books, sites that you think may be of interest to other diabetics. I'll look for your post.

I hate fish burps! My dietician told me if I really manage to eat 3 ounces of oily fish three times every week I probably don't have to take the fish oil pills, and I asked my doctor and he agreed. So I try very hard to eat my three servings of fish during the week. Most of the time I am successful with that. Tonight my son and I had tuna steak, cooked briefly on a grill pan, served with a homemade cole slaw and canteloupe. Oh wait, that goes on a different discussion thread… Thanks for the tip about the chewables, my calcium chewables are my substitute for candy.

I am in the desk next to you and I am waving my hand in the air! LOL

Eeeeww, fish burps. I found that the krill oil that is now out has no burp after and the pill is smaller and I only have to take one a day. It all works for me!
