I'm new to this site so my apology if this has been covered. Could anyone help with remedies, prescribed drugs, across the counter ointments, herbs, spices, etc. to deal with the "severe pain" from neuropathy. It's 24/7 and some days almost impossible to stand or walk. It's difficult to discuss/share the intensity of the pain with anyone who doesn't have this problem; doctor's give hydrocodone as remedy and it doesn't work. Help !!!!! Anyone out there who shares this problem? Let's discuss the emotional/stress side of this disease to help cope.

Hi. I don't have neuropathy yet but I wanted to say I'm so sorry your having to go through this. I do know what its like to be in extreme pain. I've had a spinal fusion and its failed and the hardware in my back the large bar has slipped. I go see a pain specialist for my pain. I suggest you ask your doctor for a referral to a pain clinic. The pain clinic has got my pain to a managable level and maybe they can help you also.there is only so much a gp doctor can do for pain but a pain specialist has many different options for you. Id ask my doctor as soon as possiable for a referral. I really think they can be of great help to you.I wish you the very best of luck. Keep us posted on how your doing.
