I've had it almost 40 years and find that the best thing you can do is keep good control. It's amazing how much highs affect how you feel. That tired, can't get moving, crappy feeling is from running too high. Your body isn't able to use what you eat so its basically starving. It preserves life itself and mood, activity etc are secondary. Keep good control and you'll find that you feel better, can do more and get out and do something physical. I've found that to be an excellent mood booster (or just to keep my sanity). Set aside some time every day to just forget about the world and problems and concentrate on the good things. Go for a walk with a friend (or pet) and enjoy it.

The fact that you have been dealing with it for 30 years is an incredible achievement! You should be proud. We would love to hear about ow you have been able to control it for so many years.

Joining this site means you've found hope. You've stumbled upon a family that knows and understands what you're going through. We all have our down days and we all wish it would go away, but the fact that you're here posting means you want to control this disease. And that's the first step. Finding people who know exactly what you're going through. And you've found it in each and and every one of us here.

Just keep your head up and know that everyone has those days. Things get better. You're alive. That's a start. :)
