I was checking out some sites for ackucheck and came across this site. http://www.defeatdiabetes.org
To recieve a free meter and test strips you have to send them an email to glucometer@DefeatDiabetes.org small
I sent them an email and will let you know if anything comes of it.
It also might be of help to go to
https://www.accu-chek.com/us/glucose-meters/a...
There you can sign up for a card to recieve your test strips for $15 with your script and insurance, non-insured when recieveing your card they say there is something more on the back of the card.

Hope this helps.

2 days ago I emailed Defeat Diabetes Foundation and recieved the meter and test strips today. VickieF
I mentioned the other day about finding a site for free meters. It is Defeat Diabetes Foundation.
http://www.defeatdiabetes.org/
You send them an email letting them know that you need a meter and supplies. I did and recieved a meter and kit, along with 10 test strips. It was very quick, 2 days. The meter I recieved was a TRUEbalance. I then looked online to find test strips for it. Bummer none at walgreens or walmart. So I just typed in the name of the meter on Bing. Yeah! I found a store to mail order them.
100 test strips for $18.35 @ http://health.beanworthy.com/TrueBalance-Test...;;

The strips are as inexpensive as I have been able to find for any strips.
I Hope this helps. I know it will me. I did not know how in the world I was going to be able to afford test strips. :)
