Some news about the medal show and other things.(Spouse support.)

As you probably know, my wife Johanna got together with my medal a Certificate of Recognision for standing by me for 50 years and supporting me with the diabetes. such as watching that I don't make any mistakes.
I really feel that a diabetic be it male or female needs the support of their spouse
in order to be successful in the control of their diabetes. Of course in the way past time before the blood monitors, it was even more necessary to have support. I have heard a woman say, "Well HE has the diabetes let him look after himself, I will eat whatever I darn well want." She can eat whatever she darn well wants, in my case through all the years Jo and the two boys we have always did eat the same that I would eat. The diabetic diet if you want to call it that way, is a very healthy way of eating. I shy away from the word diet because it is sooo much miss-used by so many. The important thing here is "support" by the spouse. I feel that most diabetics enjoy that support by their spouses and that is the way that I feel it should be.
Here is the news about the needle story. It ill be in the newspaper Saturday 12 Fwbruary and yes that is THIS year for sure. Just talk with the editor. He said "we are holding it back for the Senior section!" Amagine that!!!! OK, I'm 81 on the 27th of Feb. but if you reverse it it will read 18… Who in his right mind would put an 18 year old in the senior section? OK, OK I get it, LOL. They have to go by the very truth like newspapers always print! RIGHT? If you can't find it, they are on line, just go to Google and ask for "The Bulletin newspaper in Nanaimo, BC. Maybe you need Canada also. Don't think so.
Here is some wisdom I read about.

Health nuts are going to feel stupid some day, lying in hospital dying of nothing!
Yeah, thank for reading all this, my fingers get shorter after any typing, can only play very short piano pieces now.

JB, that's me!

Happy birthday, JB. It sounds like you have an amazing wife! I agree with you…there have been times when I have had to really lean on my husband. When I was pregnant, I couldn't take insulin in my stomach and I couldn't reach my hips (because I was so fat ,LOL, really I gained 65 pounds :)) But, anyhow, my husband had to inject my pump every other day for me. He never hesitated and I never felt like I was bugging him. He also shares the cooking duties, and has a carb. count ready for me at meal time. It's wonderful to have that support, isn't it? It definitely takes a special person.

I think it would be easy to live with you and give support for 50 years. You have a great attitude!

oh JB, I like your way of looking at things…my age is only 26 your way! But the Bulletin putting you in the Senior section could backfire on them…you will be putting other, probably much younger, Seniors to shame! Congrats and Happy BirthMonth!

Happy early Birthday! And congratulations to your wife. My husband of 18 years is really supportive too! But come Sunday's dinner, OUCH! I give him one day a week to treat himself and I pay the price. I can't say no to his fried chicken, best in the world!

You are a hoot! And who says you cannot at least feel like you are 18? Congratulations. When it in print, will it be online in the paper so you can post a link so we all can read about it?

Just go to Google and ask for The Bulletin newspaper, Nanaimo, BC. maybe add ca. may not be needed. It will get in the paper Feb. 12 under the senior section.
