You sound like my husband…he's got over 10 stomach/hernia repair surgeries "under his belt" and new hernia popped …now facing another surgery in Spring. And I know where your mind is…it all seems overwhelming, you're frustrated and depressed. But, you're still on this side of the soil…not under it yet, so you need to get a grip, take a deep breath, go one small step…and own up to accept your responsibility to eat better, your diet is tied into general health. Start testing, record you BG, and then write down everything you eat, how you feel, what's going on…then you can see whether you are going up & down and the causes. This will improve your whole outlook, and health. Get journaling and good luck…You are a strong guy…take this ONE GIANT STEP!
p.s. if you ignore it - it doesn't go away…just sends you stronger messages!

Sometimes what seem to be the least of our worries are often the cause of our other worries. I am not saing that is the case, but often when we overlook the disease that can aggravate or bring on other complications, it is not worth it to fight the complications if we do not find the source of them. Diabetes is a silent disease that can cause so many other problems. When we have better control of it, sometimes the other issues will be found to be linked. Our bodies are so complex and intertwined. I would not negate the possibility of links on any level. What does your doctor say about this?
