Have any of you tried this? Is it even good for me? I saw it at the grocery store and I thought it might be something to try/

Quinoa (pronounced Keen-Wa) is a very healthy grain and considered a super food. It can be used in place of rice in many recipes. Check this out… Quinoa (1 cup) against White rice (1 cup): 22.3 g protein against 4.4 g; 10 g fiber against 0.6 g; and 357 mg magnesium versus 24 mg magnesium from rice. Quinoa cooks in about half of the time and can be used in soups, salads, side dishes, main courses, desserts and even as a hot breakfast cereal like oatmeal. Quinoa is an energy booster!!!

I haven't tried the quinoa pasta - but I've looked at using quinoa vs rice or potatoes. I was shocked at the number of carbs in one serving so I ended up not buying it. Rice is very high in carbs too so I try to avoid that when I can. Frankly - I'd rather have 2 bowls of ice cream for the same # of carbs :)

I tried red and white and i use it instead of rice and potatos. BS does not raise up much for me. For more flavor you can use chicken broth instead of water.
