Welcome back home and thank you for your service Nam Vet-21894. The most I have ever tested was approx. 18 times a day for a month.

Reason being, I had just switched to a new style meter, the Contour NEXT USB meter and just for the heck of it, I wanted to see if there was a difference between the two readings from them after testing. All being done within a few minutes of one another also. I was surprised at how much difference there was so I also took a third meter to test against the first 2. Each time I tested, each meter gave a different reading and not just by a few points but as much as 75 or more against one another. (Hope that made sense.)

It was really causing me problems and even my diabetic doctor could not explain the differences. I finally talked with a Registered Dietician about my food intake. I started REALLY watching what I eat and especially how much and now, the numbers are pretty much in check with each meter.

I would never win this competition. I hate testing and put it off when possible. lol Maybe I could compete for who does it the least. I know I know!! I'm being so bad!

The first day my daughter was on the pump they required every 2 hours and we had 3 times in between so I am guessing she was between 15-16. Things have calmed down now and even with school she is at about 6-8 depending on how active she is.

Wow, I don't think I tested that much sometimes I do up to 12x's a day. I might have done 14, but ussally 6 now that my sugar is in control. I had to check 12 x's when I took steroids, or many times when I take antibiotics. I'm so glad I was able to get it back under control
