Can anyone tell me where I can find a good tracking chart on the internet for free? I found a nice one that even prints out fancy graphs for your doctor, but it costs $4.95 a month to join.

There is one for free at: http://www.everydayhealth.com/toolkit/glucose... and you can print it out to take to your doctor. I used it for a few days, but since my doctor wants me to mail him my BG tracking each week I just made my own Excel sheet with only the basics - no bells and whistles. I looked at some other templates and Excel charts that other people have put out on the internet, but they just had too many things for me to be bothered with since all I really needed was the BG readings, the time and any notes that may have affected my numbers.

I still use the everydayhealth.com site for their calorie counter. It tracks my calories, fat6s, carbs etc. I have found that tool to be very very helpful for me.

PS: It was very time consuming to set up the original form, but it is easily printed, and costs very little to reproduce. Just your time, a little ink 'n paper.

Dear Irish Girl:

With the help of my son and Doctor, we devised a two week record of my BG and the insulant I take from 4 to 10 times per day. I print then out on my puter, usually for the entire year. There is an Event #, my drugs, and a long list of abreviatins on the reverse. Each sheet has the date printed on it 'n there are 15 columns, 12 of which are for your entries of Time 'n Event, Glucose 'n time of injection. The last column is the widest, 'n is used for your meds, 'n notes. There are 3 columns each for Morning, Midday, Evening, 'n Bedtime. This form is easily modified to suit your needs. If you will give me your address, I will gladly mail an example to you. I have used this form for many years, 'n have modified it several times. It has been favorably commented on by several doctors 'n Practitioners for nearly 40 years.

Good luck to you,

Reb
