I have had one laser surgery for my retinopathy. That was 3 months ago,I think. I went back to my opthomalogist today and she told me she couldn't do another one till it stopped bleeding. I've been very fortunate to have had only one eye bleeding. Today she said the other one has started bleeding. I have two questions maybe three. How is it going to stop bleeding if it's not treated? How long can it bleed before it causes permenant damage? Should I get a second opinion? I'm getting really scared!

I'm surprised that your doc isn't giving you more information! It feels awful to be in the dark when you have a issue with your health. Do you see an endocronologist?
I am so sorry that you feel so scared and alone while you are dealing with this. I wish that I could be more help to you.

From what I've read about this - the bleeding will stop with tighter sugar control - but not sure how / at what stage that can occur.

I would certainly get a second opinion - it is your vision after all.
