I'm on Warfarin, which is a blood thinner. My Doctors have taken away several foods that I love and are good for my health. Coconut, spinach, etc. they don't want me eatting. Not only do I have type 2 diabeties, but I have a heart condition too. My question is; what foods will give me the same benifits as those that are high in vitamin K? On top of all of that I want to loss a few pounds. Carbs are also an issue with me.

Both my husband and father are on coumadin(warfarin). Check with your doctor on this, but no foods got taken away from them except cranberry. The key is consistency and amount of vegetable. We had a list of high, medium and low foods in Vitamin K. What you have one week needs to equal what you have every week in Vitamin K to keep your coumadin levels theraputic.
