I use a one touch ultra smart monitor. I can say that I really like this monitor especially since I'm on insulin.

When I received this monitor it came with a bottle of solution, so that you could calibrate your monitor.

I would like to know if any one knows where I can find this solution by itself? I don't wish to buy a new monitor.

I just want to purchase a new bottle of solution.

My medical supplier, Liberty Mutual, always ask if I want a bottle of solution sent with my next order. Really never used the first bottle, but if I had a question would call my supplier.

Why do you want the solution? All it really tells you is the strip that you are testing in combination with the meter is within acceptable range. It really isn't worth a whole lot and mainly costs you money in strips that you could be using to test your blood sugar.

I was informed that it helps calibrate the monitor, and that's what I've been doing since I received the monitor.

It doesn't calibrate anything, it's really just like a blood sugar test. The only difference is that the control test has a reference range so you can see if the meter and strip you are testing are accurate. At best it will tell you that your meter is or isn't working as expected. At worst it tells you that the strip you just used would have given you an accurate result if you had used it for a blood sugar test!

Hello there!! Call the company that makes one touch!! I know accu check always sent me a bottle of the control solution when I needed it!! I'm sure they would send you one!! Diabetic meters are a very used thing and they like to keep their consumers with their company!! I test my machine because although you could be using the test strip for bs readings, what if your meter isn't working and the reading is wrong? I don't like taking a chance with my health! One test strip every box of 100 is okay with me! Good luck!!
