About six months ago had a small white growth (kinda like a skin tag) on my right waistline. Didn't think a thing about. Kinda grew bigger, but still white. About two weeks ago it got bigger and a little red. On Thursday it was the size of a 50 cent coin and started hurting. Each day it got redder and more painful. Now it stuck out my side and made wearing anything with a waistline painful. And sleeping forget it on the right side (my favorite side)! Today went into the shower and saw a little white head and just touched it and it oozed infection. So I kept pinching it to get all the infection out. Now it is almost black, but reduced and I will have a small hole in the side. I saw my doc a week ago, and don't see him for 3 months. Neighbor is a doc, so I sheepishly asked him and he said it was a carbuncle, common with diabetics. Great! He called in two meds for me to fight the infection. My wife said her co-worker's husband has them on his legs and gets skin grafts because of the holes. IS THERE NO WAY TO PREVENT THIS?!!!!!!!!!!!!
