I'm curious as to how many of you rotate daily your insulin shots.
Or do you use one area a day for all your shots?
I who take 4 shots a day, normally will start with a shot in the buttocks, one in the stomach, one in the thigh, and one in the arm. Then the next day i change sides. I don't always use the same area, for the same medication.

I agree with jAMES!! mY DIABETES NURSE told us the same thing insulin works fastest in your tummy! It takes longer to work when you inject into your arms or thighs or even your buttocks! And so long as the injection site is 2" apart you should be good to go!!

I inject 4 times daily. My morning (Basal— Lantus) goes in my tummy, which I rotate every day. My Apidra before meals is in my arms. I've been injecting for 16 years, and the worst that has happened is I've gotten bad bruises. No lumps or scar tissue yet. I don't do my thigh, because it's inconvenient and the times I've tried, It hurts as h-e-double hockey sticks!

Rotating your shots is a good habit to get into. I have had T1DB for about 20 years and have some bad "lumps" on my triceps and abdomen from injecting in the same location for so long. I did not rotate daily (as recommended by my doctors) and so I decided to stop injecting in my left tricep. Its been a few years (6?) but the lump has not diminished. Keep up your good habits and you will not regret it.

I find the stomach is the best place also. I take 6 shots a day and thank heaven's for my stomach.

Me? I only take 2 injectionss per day. I use my tummy fat alone. The tummy fat is the bsst place the diabetic nurse told us because it is absorbed better there. She told us (my bride & me) that in the arm delays absorption of the insulin. I don't remember what she said about the thigh & buttocks. You are supposed to stay 2" away from the umbillicus (bellybutton) on either side, otherwise you can spread it out along the roll of fat on your middle My bride Jem took 4 injections per day & she had plenty of area in which to inject that many times per day. We could tell where we last injected because both of us were on blood thinning agents and injections often left a bruise.. We each had plenty of room to inject.

Blessings to you and yours
