Why not Put Everyone on a Pump?

It would be great if everyone could be ont the pump, but when I saw the list price for it I realized why. The govt says everyone gets "affordable" health care, I am guessing that it does not necessarily mean the best-without insuarnce coverage there is no way I could have afforded it. It is a shame, but that is where things are rightnow.

Basically, it costs too much. At the end of the day somebody has to pay for it and traditional injections are far more cost effective. Maybe in the years to come when there is some good, mass data showing how effective they are for managing diabetes and showing a clear short and long term cost benefit, many more will be used.
