which nutraceuticals do you use for your type 2 diabetes? (for blood sugar control and neuropathy)?

i use a host of them which i will list in a separate discussion but wonder if there are others i should know about.

nutraceuticals are dietary supplements that youd find in GNC or the vitamin shoppe. theyre over the counter products that have sopecific health benefits if taken in certain dosages. for example, cinamom is great for helping lower blood sugar levels. Alpha lipoica acid appears able to leesen the effects of diabetic neuropathy. whats great about these products is that they are naturally occuring substances so you dont have to contend with prescription side effects.

there are various vitamins and herbs that have been the focus of many studies, iver the years, to help control diabetes (as well as almost every other disease out there!) i take mant supplements daily and will try and get around to listing them tonite. Theyre not a magical panacea but do offer some relief from various symptoms that crop up with having diabetes, a very good friend of mine is a firm believer in healing yourself with these supplements rather than contend with the side effects of prescription drugs. i take a few prescription drugs for duabetes 2 and supplement them with the nutraceuticals,

Currently I don't use what you would call neutraceuticals. I do use folic acid & Vitamin D3 pills. And I have been taking fish oil with D3 in it. I gotta be really careful since I don't just have DM, but I also am a kidney patient and I have urinary tract problems. And most recently have been Dx'd with bleeding ulcer and meniere's disease. So I need to be careful about what I put in my body.

I would be very interested to see your list. I've heard things about ALA and CoQ 10 to combat neuropathy, but haven't yet checked with my Drs about it. I'd love for something to stop or ease the burning in my private area, feet & legs

I've heard of neutracuticals, but the term is used in a couple of different ways.
What do YOU mean when you use the term neutracutical, weigh 2 sweet?

I had never heard of nutraceuticals before. I looked them up and it sounds like nutrient powders.
