Free Diabetes Meds?
Hi everyone, Happy New Year!
I am a Type II patient, prescribed Humalog and Lantus. I'm currently unemployed and have no medical insurance and now I have no Lantus or Humalog! I live in El Cajon, CA (San Diego area). Is there anyone, anywhere I can turn to get free insulin? I have refills left on both prescriptions but can't afford any out of pocket expense. Help? Suggestions?
Thank you!
Tom

Thank you!! Lots of sites but in looking at the various applications, they all require a physician signature and I no longer have a physician. I did drop a question on each site I was able to asking for more information for supplies without a physician signature.

Thanks guys! I have been on the company web sites and they need a physician signature on the application and since I have no insurance, I have no physician…
sometimes those sites let you use your doc u seen before. Such as the one who wrote you the scripts before. Just explain to them you have no job no ins and tell him you want to apply for free medicine. I have done this and recieved help. I was laid off last year with no job no ins and whatnot and to this day still have 10 bottles of lantus left…it GREATLy helped me out!!!
Check your yellow pages for a free clinic, they usually sign off on this type of form for free.
Great idea! Thanks!!
Go on the company web sites for the meds you need. They all have a program to help low income people with their meds. I get my Januvia free. There also is a great VA center in your area that will help if you qualify as a veteran. You don't have to have been a career veteran to qualify.
They realy do to helped out three frends that I know of
Best wishes
