When my glucose is 139 prior to eating breakfast and I eat oatmeal for breakfast, how much medicine should I take? 2 mg or 4 mg of Amaryl? The other day I took 4 mg of Amaryl at breakfast and then 10 mg of Byetta at lunch and it was too much and brought my sugar too low. I guess I should have taken 2 mg of Amaryl at breakfast. I'm new at this game and haven't figured it out yet. Any suggestions?

You should take what your doctor says to take. Amaryl isn't a drug that you change the dose based on what your blood sugar is or what you are eating, you can only really do that with a mealtime insulin.
