Do you also test other times of the day to see what your body is doing? Having good numbers is a sign that your treatment program is working.

I usually check it about 6 times a day, more if I get to feeling funny or not seeing straight.

And what do those tests tell you?

My level is not good sometimes high, sometimes low. But I think the reason for that is that I am not eating right, but i have started to change my diet and eating habits.

So in that, you have answered your question. Your meds are needed to help you with your levels though out the day, so keep on working on that. Maybe talk to your doctor about when he wants you to take them.

You should take your medication as prescribed, they are likely a big reason your blood sugar is OK and skipping them will lead to high blood sugar.

Hi. I would say yes always take your meds unless you speak to your doctor and he advises you not too. Id discuss this with my doc and let your doc know your concerns because its very important to closely work with your health care professional. Sometimes it only takes a phone call to your docs office to find an answer. I'm the meantime id take my meds untiil doc says different. But give him a call and let him know what's happening with you. You never know he might decide to take you off your meds but you must leave that decsion up to your doc. So call today and see what the nurse or doc says! Best wishes and merry christmas!
