Hi all hope that everyone is doing great. I went to the doctor and they increase my Insulin again. Sometimes I get frustrated because it seems that I can't keep my BG under control. It have been high(280- 499) for about 4 to 5 months now. I don't know what is going wrong. I feel like just giving up, and then I think about my family and try to manage this. Thanks for letting me vent.

Don't give up. It takes time to find the correct dose of insulins. For me it took time now I'm on two different insulins one 24 hour and one to cover food. I finally got the right dose! Once I got the 24 hour insulin added (lantus) it was a God send for me! I did have to have it raised a few times but I finally have my doses correct! I finally have control over my bs! This will happen for you! It takes time also keep in mind there are different insulins out there and if ones not working talk to your doc about getting a different one or using two different kinds. This really worked wonderful for me! Remember you have choices and keep your options open. Talk to your doc and see if maybe adding a different insulin will help or switching insulins? My 24 hour insulin on top of my other insulin really really helped me! I was frusterated like you are cause my bs was still high before I got my second insulin added. Don't give up and talk to your doc about your options! Happy holidays and good luck!

Hey Runthe,
I know diabetes is progressive and sometimes getting a handle on it is harder than we think. Don't give up and keep working on what you can. Sometimes that is the best we can do. Keep looking for triggers or even for things that make a good change. I know how frustrating it can be. We are here for you to offer a shoulder or a nudge, which ever you need.
