My father was diagnosed with Type 2 almost 16 yrs ago and did not take the best care of himself after. He has since become insulin dependent and my mother has helped him control his lifestyle ever since.

In an attempt to control my raised insulin levels discovered during a blood test over 5 yrs ago my family physician prescribed Metformin to me in a 500mg daily dose as a form of prevention. Granted every health professional I have interacted with since assumes I have been diagnosed as Diabetic but so be it.

After recent blood test ordered by a new family physician it has been discovered that my insulin levels are normal and healthy! All the years of keeping up with my prescription have paid off. With a healthy diet and regular exercise I can keep hereditary and high risk factors at bay.

This has motivated me greatly in my daily regimen of health care.

I'm glad your doing so well! Good for you! That's an inspiration! I'm a type 2 that also uses insulin. Insulin has really helped me gain control of my blood sugar! Your blessed because not everyone can do it with diet and pills! I'm so happy for you! Keep up the good work!
