What is the best lotion for me to use. My skin just flakes off when I rub or scratch it.

My dermatologist recommended Curel Ultra Healing intensive lotion for dry skin. It works for me. It is in a white bottle with ulta healing in red and the name Curel in black letters.

I have had extremely dry skin all over my body since I was a little girl. Especially on my feet! My skin gets so dry on my feet and hands that I get deep cuts. Last week I got such deep cuts in my feet that they got infected and now I have cellulitis. I am taking antibiotics and I go back to the doc tomorrow. He also told me that my dry skin is ezcema. I hate having dry skin its horrible and right now I am using Olay body quench lotion and Olay body ribbons body wash but the lotion soaks right up and then my dry skin is back I have not found anything that has worked for me :(

I like the Gold Bond, but it is expensive. I absolutely hate throwing away a tube of expensive lotion that I can't completely empty and that's what I find with the Gold Bond. Lubriderm Advanced Therapy is my second choice and since I can completely drain all of the lotion, I have switched to it. It works well.

MISERY IF YOU CAN FIND IT ITS CALLED ABSORBASE AND ITS UNSCENTED, THIS WAS GIVEN TO ME MY A SKIN DOC AN ITS PRETTY CHEAP. YOU PUT IT ON TWICE A DAY IN PLACES YOU NEED IT LIKE YOUR LEGS AN FEET. THE SUGAR DOC SAYS IT REAL GOOD FOR YOU. AND THE VA IS REAL CHEAP ANY WAY BUT IT DOES WORK…PAT

Hey Misery,
Lotions are great, but they tend to cause other problems with me. I found an oatmeal bath soap, Aveeno. It is fantatic. It keeps the moisture in from my shower all day, but doesn't break me out. It is in the product review section, other people have commented on it, too. Take a peek.

I do use lotion the first couple of days after I shave my legs to keep them really soft...I use body works sweet pea or cherry blossom for a little fragrance.

I use the Gold Bond too on my feet and on my body I use the Aveeno Lotion. I love the feeling it gives my skin. I tried the diabetic stuff, besides being expensive it did not work any better than the others For showering I use Caress Body Wash.

Hi Misery, I'm using Gold bond Ultimate Healing lotion, for my hand and feet. I tried many different one, including Diabetic lotions too but this is the best so far. The other one i'm using is the Nivea Smooth Sensation for my whole body. It leaves my skin really soft and it smells really good.
