Some days ago I shared with you all that I had lost weight. To date, I have lost a total of 30lbs., gone down 4 dress sizes and would like to share what I have learned so far as far as maintaining BS normal and lose weight. I would like others to benefit from what I will share now. I take Vanadyl Sulfate and Alpha Lipoic Acid to keep my BS normal instead of my medicine. I was taking Glyburide and made me feel crappy! Was getting the shakes ALL the time and my sugar would go as low as 48. My heartbeat was really pounding and fast!! Horrible feeling. Did some research and found out that these two supplements aided in lowering BS. As far as exercise, I walk everyday for 1 hr. in fast and slow intervals. Walk fast for 30 seconds and slow down for 30 seconds for 30 minutes. The rest of the 30 minutes I walk at a normal pace; not too fast or slow. Diet wise, I have cut back on breads and eat lots and lots of veggies. I find that snacking on raw nuts such as almonds and veggies such as radishes, celery, cabbage (red and green) make me feel good and my BS remains normal. I have "invented" recipes for myself. I make my own hummus and it's Delish!!! Organic foods are awesome, the best! I discovered that my local Hostess Outlet store carries these products and are so affordable!!! I get my apple and cinammon granola (low carbs)I add this to my nonfat plain yogurt w/few drops of Stevia, Wheat flour, Wheat flour for pastries, Raw nuts, Stonegound Oats. Last and most important, everyone knows this I am sure, Drink lots and lots of water. I drink 1 liter a day. I hope this bit of info. will help anyone of you towards feeling better, healthier and happier. If you would like more info. on where I obtained my info. just read the book "Reversing Diabetes" by Dr. Julian Whitaker. His institution is in Newport Beach, CA. It's not a "cure" book, more like an assistance book. Check it out! God Bless You All!!

Thank you Lisa! I am a very tough gal and when the doc told me I had "uncontrollable" diabetes I said to myself in my mind, "We'll see about that doc." Doctors, unfortunately, are not that well informed or educated on the treatment of diabetes. All they do is prescribe drugs and out you go. Whatever happened to caring? Truly caring for you,the patient? I did a whole lot of reading and research I felt it was my health on the line and my responsibility to make myself feel better and get better. As I mentioned before, I don't take those nasty pills anymore. Just my supplements and multi-vitamins and I am good. My sugar has been a stable 70mg/dl. Just remember, DON"T SKIP DRINKING WATER!! It is very important. If I can do it you certainly can too. All it takes is a great dose of hope, faith, love and support from family and God. You can do it Lisa, YES YOU CAN!!! :).

We are all different so I am praying this will benefit you greatly. Just a friendly piece of advice. Don't want to be liable for other people doing this and then blaming it on my advice. It worked for me so I am hoping it works for you too!!

I'm really glad that's working for you! That's soo great! For me I needed extra help! Pills didn't work for me nor diet nor exercise. I'm a tiny type two at 110 pounds and size four! I tried but was struggling with extremely high nummbers! The pills did nothing for me! I would raise if I ate a peice of lettuce! Really! So I got put on two different insulins and wow its been a God send for me! I run perfect numbers now and am finally finally under control! Everyone is different and our bodys are different and I'm glad we both have something that's working for us! That's the important part keeping our numbers low! I'm very happy for you and thanks for sharing with us! Please keep us posted on how you continue to do. This is an inspiration! Although some of us need our meds, it nice to hear success stoties like yours! Thank you and be blessed!

Thank you realsis77!!! You are right. Different things and methods of treatments work for different people. What works for me may not work for everyone. Just wanted to share what I learned to help others on this site. I want them to feel good and happy!! To date since my posting I have lost an additional 1/2 pound. Doesn't sound like much but to me it's the world!!! I am hoping by next summer I should be at the weight I should be at which is between 125-145lbs. Will keep you all posted. As soon as I reach my goal I will post a before and after picture of myself on this site to inspire others. I want to motivate others and show them that it can be done. It's not easy…but through disclipine and faith and not giving up… IT CAN BE DONE!! :) I wish to express my gratitude for your's and everyone's support on this site. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART!!! LOVE YOU ALL!
