Walking has definitely done the trick for me. It was almost a believe it or not for me, but it happened. Good Luck..

Well, I am excited to share that walking has helped me drop another size in just a few weeks. So if you are out there and just working at it every day, you will succeed. Hang in there.

My personal experience is that fast pace walking works miracles when it comes to belly fat. If you walk 5 days a week, one hour per day, your will start seeing the difference in a couple of weeks. Try not to walk 7 days a week because the body needs to recover from the effort you will be doing during the other 5 days.

Best luck to you.

JB… when I lay down I look like a Volkswagon but I have dropped from 199 lbs in January to 176.5 this morning. My "ideal" weight was 176 and now that I am around there, I am thinking that maybe 172 might work. I suppose my biggest issue now is that I have more Chins than a Hong Kong telephone directory. I don't care about my looks as much as how I feel… and I feel GREAT!!!

That is the key. How do you feel? I don't look great either, but I feel so much better than I used to. I have a way to go and have been walking everyday with the dog so that is helping me a little at a time. But I feel good when I'm walking and I feel good knowing that I am doing things to improve my health every day.

Sensible eating and any kind of aerobic exercise will reduce belly fat and any other fat as well.
If you are trying to tone your waist, you may want to try crunches or sit ups. Improving stomach muscles has the additional benefit of reducing back pain in some people, depending of course on why ones back may be hurting. Good luck!

The important thing is to exercise to your ability. For some people that's push ups, sit ups, walking, leg lifts, vacuuming the carpeting or whatever your body can handle. Exercise is important because it burns the calories. Dieting is important because it helps with either weight loss or maintaining. Watch the carbs but make sure to get some for energy. Look at calories, fat, protein, vitamins and everything else that comes from sensible eating. Be patient with yourself. I dropped 2" from my waist from 36" to 34" over the past six months so it can be done. I am a long way from having a dream body but every inch or pound is something to celebrate.

Howdy Frog!
I don't know any specific exercises which will take fat away from a particular region on the body. I don't think that is possible, as far as I know. To lose weight you lose weight all over, and you must exert more energy than you take in. People have walked and have taken off pounds, but to raise your energy your body expends over the calories it takes in is the best way to do that.

This is probably not what you would like to hear, but to the best of my knowledge it is the truth.

Blessings to you and yours
James
