I log every shot just before I take it in my log book. Get a log book with a blank page to the right of where you put your numbers and log each shot. I leave my book out with a pen on the table so I can just log before I shoot. Its worked pretty good. I also have a phone app that I log my insulin in but I do forget some days with that one but I never forget my book. Make it a habbit, like getting your syringe out just write in the book before the shot just before . This works for me. This is what I do. Give it a try it really works and you won't loose track anymore!I'm on two different insulins so I just write the name of wich one I'm using and at what time with the unit amount.its quick to do and has been great for me! Good luck oh, by the way you can find log books like I described really really cheap on ebay. If your interested I can give you the sellers name just send me a mail ok? There super cheap and the seller makes them and the log book lasts a long time! Good luck to you and I hope this helped you in some way. :)

i use a sliding scale on my diabetes and record my carbs and insulin as well so you can show the doctors bayer makes a new meter called the contour usb you plug it into the computer and it downloads all your info for you people tell me its easy to use and it keeps a log book for you but otherwise sliding scale is the way to go good luck and happy holidays steven

Hello
For me to keep track I got to right it down when I was on shots I used a scale and counted all the carbs that I was taking in and how much insulin I was using.
It was the only way that worked for me.
Hope this helps
Best wishes
Harlen

oh, like an audible tone, meant to remind you to test, or take medicine! And then you hear the ding, or beep and don't remember what it's reminding you to do! LOL! That is a problem. I used to be bad about remembering…now this is just a part of my day. I test BG as soon as I wake up..take my meds then too, This is such a part of my life I don't really ever forget anymore. I have to think about everything I want to eat. I think it just becomes habit after awhile. I sort of jot down notes all day, what my a.m. BG was, how I'm feeling, what I ate, what is going on, heck, I even note the weather…etc.
