My BS readings are higher in the morning after fasting all night than the reading just before bed. What do others do so that does not happen?

i am pregnant so it might be differnt but if my fasting bs in the morning is above 100 they give me more insulin when i go to bed so it is not high when i wake up and it has worked

I make sure that I eat around six and then have no snacks the rest of the evening.

I do that too. My doctor says that it is called Dawn Phenomenon and she suggested eating a piece of Ham before bed. I was wanting to know what other diabetics do to counteract that problem. It does not have anything to do with eating too much in the evening hours.
