Over the past few months I have participated in three grad student surveys in regards to diabetes research and support theses. I hope that each of you will participate in these kinds of projects when they are made available to you.

I find it a blessing to have an interest in the minds, bodies and souls of diabetics by genuinely caring individuals. It is fulfilling to help with these projects and I am so hopeful that by hearing of our concerns and challenges that things for change for us.

Below is a link to a survey (note: timely request for help) from a young lady named Lauren who I have been working with from day 1. It was informative to us both to be able to share what goes on as we reach out to others (family, friends, doctors, coworkers) for support.

Please take a few moments (20-30 minutes) to support Lauren's endeavor. This research and its results could pay you and future generations back in much more than just the time you invest. Speak up!!!

I don't remember the exact deadline for Lauren's research project but I know that the deadline is approaching. I'd like to thank everyone for the participation because it is important not only to Lauren but to each of US as well. Lauren's field of interest is about support for diabetics and I know that in my case that was what was missing from my diagnosis. I was told that I was diabetic but not really what it meant or what to do about it. Once I found this website it just opened my eyes, ears and heart as I realized that I am not alone. I now have many of you as my own little support system and I continue to learn more and more each day. Please take a few moments to share your experiences and likes/dislikes about the medical community in regards to diabetes. Your thoughts and experiences can make our world a little better. Knowledge is power!!!
